The Committee for Justice for Shawna Forde was formed by a group of activists who were concerned about another patriot being railroaded by the system.   Forde’s arrest and the subsequent extreme negative media blitz made it seem like she was set-up from the beginning.  JusticeforShawnaForde.com has reframed the issue in terms of the politics surrounding her arrest and incarceration by Mexican-run Pima County, AZ.  In America, every accused person is entitled to the presumption of innocence.  But one wouldn’t know that by reading the press coverage of Shawna’s case.  We are concerned that the biased media coverage could taint the jury pool, thus robbing Shawna of her right to a fair trial.  We assert Shawna’s innocence, and believe that she will be acquitted if given a fair trial.

I would also like to add my personal feelings about this case make it difficult to remain unbiased.  While I believe that Shawna et al should be heard in and convicted in a trial, not in the slip stream media, I am not going in to this show thinking she is innocent, BUT I am not the committee for justice for Shawna Forde.  I also want to make clear that my feelings about this case have nothing to do with the media and their constant slant on most everything we see and read, and everything to do with personal knowledge.  So, out of respect for the guests, I will wipe clear my opinions to come to this with an open mind and am looking forward to hearing the evidence they will share with us tonight.

Shawna Forde is the victim of a federal-government conspiracy to break the back of the Minuteman and militia movement, her biggest Internet defender said on a Web radio show Monday night.

Laine Lawless, founder of justiceforshawnaforde.com, explained on a show called Truth Brigade Radio, why she came to defend Forde, whom she first met May 30, the day of the murders.

“I’m glad you mentioned the OKC bombing,” she told host Christie Czajkowski. “It was perpetrated by the government to break the back of the militia movement. Shawna was busted to break the back of the Minuteman movement and the militia movement.”

That was just one of the highlights (lowlights?) of the two-hour interview, which I listened to so you don’t have to. (Though you can listen here. )

Lawless, a former Tucsonan who lives in the Phoenix area, acknowledged in the interview that she spent time with Forde and her co-defendants shortly after the murders. Lawless had not before acknowledged what the Star and the Everett Herald have reported. But she said the meeting was insignificant.

“Just because I saw a woman helping a man out who had a wound doesn’t necessarily mean she was with him when he got that wound. I don’t know where they were before that. I don’t know where they went after that,” Lawless said.

Forde, as most of you know, is one of three people charged with murdering nine-year-old Brisenia Flores and her father Raul, as well as attempting to murder Brisenia’s mother, all during an invasion of their Arivaca home. Forde, Jason Bush and Albert Gaxiola have pleaded not guilty.

How to summarize the rest of the two-hour show? Well, it featured allegations that the defendants were part of a federal government operation, as well as a heated discussion between Lawless and her estranged friend Chuck Stonex. The two of them drove from Sierra Vista to Arivaca the night of May 30 in response to a request by Forde to help treat a wounded Minuteman (Jason Bush).

The show also included many blasts at the “media” (one of my least favorite words), my newspaper and me for having reported so deeply on the case before trial. For the record, I just don’t get that complaint. We don’t live in Britain, where as I understand it there are legal restrictions on what you may report before a criminal case is resolved. In this free-speech paradise it’s up to the court to guarantee a fair trial. Undoubtedly, the defense will request a change of venue and the judge will consider it.

One of the more curious aspects of the show (besides the references to mind control and the ad for a health supplement referred to as a “secret weapon in fighting the New World Order”), was Lawless’ anger at Stonex for talking to the police about their meeting with Forde et al. on May 30.

“I was with Chuck Stonex, and Chuck just blabbed his guts out to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. I don’t think they even knew that we were there. I don’t think they knew that, and for some reason, Chuck felt an urge to confess. I don’t know why.”

For what it’s worth, Lawless also said that she left voicemail messages for Pima County detectives three months ago, but they didn’t contact her until after the news reports about her presence in Arivaca came out.

Other highlights:
• Lawless said she became convinced of Forde’s innocence “because of the political agenda of the government media complex and the vast left wing conspiracy to try her for this particular crime.”
• Czajkowski made repeated claims that the Minuteman groups have killed many times before, something that she says made her the subject of threats and violence.
• Czajkowski, Lawless and Stonex seemed to converge in their opinions that the Southern Poverty Law Center may have had something to do with the killings.
• The host and callers made repeated reference to Forde’s interactions with Joe Adams, a former Marine, Iran-Contra figure and private investigator from St. Louis who was doing some Minuteman work on the border and has since disappeared from the scene.

This is some funny stuff, those being controlled are eating themselves and exposing a side of themselves, that up until now was only a shadow. ROTFLMAO
